Dr. Burman grew up in Austin, TX and graduated from Westlake High school. He then completed his undergraduate education at Penn State University.
From here he went to earn his D.O Medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He graduated with honors in the top of his class.
Surgical training took him back home to Texas where he completed residency in general surgery in Forth Worth.
Dr. Burman works has worked as a private practice surgeon for the past 8 years. He started Austins first robotic focused surgery practice in 2018.
He is board certified in general surgery and has completed 2100+ robotic operations.
His approach to surgical patients is to use the best technology and advancements to help deliver
the highest quality surgical care. As a concierge type practice Dr. Burman builds a personal relationship with
all his patients and their care team to provide a seamless experience through their surgical journey.
Dr. Burman enjoys and specializes in advanced robotic hernia repairs and acute care robotics.
Dr. Burmans mastery of advanced robotics allows operations to be done efficiently and with the highest level of precision which minimizes complications and allows patients to recover fast.
In his free time he likes to stay fit and healthy and spend time with his family.
Hobbies include playing tennis, skiing and wake surfing on Lake Austin.
Amanda brings 20 years of healthcare experience and extensive leadership in medical practice operations. As Practice Administrator, she oversees daily operations, strategic planning, team development, and the overall patient experience.
Throughout her career, Amanda has built and led multidisciplinary teams, implemented structured workflows, strengthened compliance processes, and developed scalable systems that support both clinical excellence and operational efficiency. She is passionate about creating organized, accountable environments where providers can focus fully on delivering high-quality patient care.
Amanda’s leadership style is rooted in integrity, clarity, and collaboration. She believes that exceptional healthcare begins behind the scenes — with strong systems, effective communication, and a culture of professionalism and compassion.
Her operational expertise plays a critical role in supporting the practice’s mission to deliver advanced surgical care with precision, transparency, and patient-centered service.
Outside of work, Amanda values quality time with her family, has been married for over 15 years, and enjoys traveling year-round to support her son’s travel basketball journey
